Privacy Policy – ShubhDin Panchang

This policy explains what information the ShubhDin Panchang app ("the app", "we", "us") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We built this app to work almost entirely on your device — most of what it does (Panchang, Kundali, Muhurat calculations) never leaves your phone.

1. Who we are

ShubhDin Panchang is developed by AG CODE PEAK. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, you can reach us at the email given at the bottom of this page.

2. Information you provide to the app

These details are entered by you and processed only on your own device — they are never uploaded to any server owned by us:

• Birth details (name, date, time, place) entered for Kundali, Navamsa, Dasha or Kundali Milan — used only to calculate your chart on-device.
• City and language selection — saved locally on your device (using Android SharedPreferences) so the app remembers your choice next time.
• Moon sign (Rashi) selection — saved locally for your daily Rashifal.

None of the above is sent to us, sold, or shared with anyone. If you uninstall the app, this data is deleted along with it.

3. Information collected automatically

3.1 Advertising identifiers

The free version of the app shows ads using Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, AdMob and its partners may automatically collect:

• Your device's advertising ID (Android Advertising ID / AD_ID)
• IP address and general location (city/region level, derived from IP — not GPS)
• Device type, OS version, and app usage/interaction data related to ads

We do not control how Google and its ad partners process this data. You can read Google's own disclosures here: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the AdMob Data Collection and Use page.

3.2 Consent for ads (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, the app shows a consent form (using Google's User Messaging Platform) before loading any ads. You choose whether to allow personalised ads, non-personalised ads only, or to manage your consent at any time. Outside these regions, applicable local law determines how ads are shown.

3.3 Purchase/subscription data

If you buy a Premium subscription, the purchase is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment method, card number, or billing address. Google Play only tells the app whether your subscription is currently active, so Premium features can be unlocked. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google Play handles this.

4. How we use information

• To calculate and display Panchang, Kundali, Rashifal and Muhurat results for the city/date you choose
• To remember your app preferences (city, language, Rashi) between visits
• To show ads (and, where you've consented, personalised ads) that support free use of the app
• To unlock Premium features once Google Play confirms an active subscription

We do not use your data for any purpose beyond running the app's features described above.

5. Third-party services used by this app

• Google AdMob – serves banner, interstitial, rewarded and app-open ads
• Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) – manages ad-consent for EEA/UK/Switzerland users
• Google Play Billing – processes Premium subscriptions

Each of these services may collect information independently under Google's own privacy policy, linked above. We do not add any analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking SDK of our own beyond what these Google services require.

6. Data security

Since almost all of your data stays on your device (SharedPreferences, private to this app), there is no central database of users for us to secure or that could be breached. Advertising and billing data is transmitted directly between your device and Google's servers over an encrypted connection, governed by Google's own security practices.

7. Your choices and rights

• Ad personalisation: you can opt out of personalised ads anytime from your device's Settings → Privacy → Ads, or (EEA/UK/CH) by re-opening the consent form from inside the app.
• Reset advertising ID: available in your device's Settings → Google → Ads.
• Manage or cancel subscription: Google Play app → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
• Delete your data: since birth details, city and Rashi are stored only on your device, simply uninstalling the app removes them completely. There is no account or server copy to request deletion for.

If you are in the EEA/UK, you additionally have rights under GDPR (access, correction, erasure, portability, objection) regarding any data Google processes on our behalf as described above — these can be exercised directly with Google or by contacting us, and we will assist where applicable.

8. Children's privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app's target audience, as declared on the Play Store listing, is 18+.

9. Astrology content disclaimer

Panchang, Kundali, Rashifal and Muhurat results are calculated using standard astronomical/astrological formulas for entertainment, cultural and informational purposes. They are not professional advice (medical, legal, or financial), and for important dates/ceremonies we recommend confirming with your local pandit, as noted inside the app.

10. International data transfers

Where Google's advertising and billing services process data outside your own country (for example, on servers in the US), that transfer is governed by Google's own compliance mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses), as described in Google's Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or in legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change whenever we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
